    Description

1989-6 The March Toward SPECIES EXTINCTION National Geographic Map Poster School
A two-part map, one dealing with the extinction of many species of animals (and plant life) over time and raises the question of whether man or climate-change (or both) is responsible. The reverse-side is titled “A New View of Dinosaurs” and disputes the idea that dinosaurs were slow, dim-witted, and solitary. Recent discoveries have raised the idea that they were protective and had a social structure and might have been warm blooded, like birds, their believed descendants. This map contains a large illustration of dinosaurs.
    Map is approximately 20" x 16".
The National Geographic is known for it's fine maps & detailed information.
